Parents are reminded that there is no school on Monday, September 6 in celebration of Labor Day. Instead, please attend the St. Thomas Labor Day Fair on Monday, September 6 beginning at 9:00 am. It’s a grand institution in White Sulphur with delicious baked goods, art work, fun for kids, and a white elephant. PAGES will be popping and selling popcorn and all GES parents should display their support of St. Thomas by showing up. If you can’t attend, please contribute some baked goods which can be delivered anytime to the church or school.

To start your year off on the right foot, students are reminded to wear sneakers on PE days. Everyone is excited about having gym classes this year and Ms. McD wants students to enjoy, play and learn in a safe, supportive environment. Physical education (and Spanish) classes will begin Tuesday, September 7.
Sofia Rose proudly announces the birth of her baby brother. Young Mr. Huffman joined the GES family on August 31 weighing 8 pounds, 8 ounces and measuring 21 inches tall!
Mrs. Massey is seeking a new home for Catherine, the school’s guinea pig. She has had a great summer in Alderson, but now it’s time for a change. Great cage, starter kit, and toys are included. See Mrs. Massey for more information or call 304 445 7687.
