It’s almost here! Next week is SPIRIT WEEK. Here’s the line-up for our themed dress days: Monday, Tropical Islands; Tuesday, Red and White; Wednesday, Denim and Wacky Hair; Thursday, Pajama Day; Friday, Favorite Book Character. Students are reminded that this is not simply a week of dress-down, anything goes. Students who elect not to participate in the day’s theme are expected to dress in the regular school uniform. Note, too, that Mr. Graves’ 7/8 class will hold a breakfast on Friday morning, February 17 to raise funds for the class’ end of year field trip.
Thanks to all for coming and contributing to the TEXMEX dinner. We raised more than $1400 for the parents’ capital campaign. The faculty and especially Mrs. Massey appreciate your participation in the Scholastic Book Fair. We were able to add more than $1000 worth of books to the library and classrooms!
It's time to preorder your GES yearbook. This year’s theme is: GES It's More Than a School! There are samples of previous yearbooks to preview in the schools entrance as well as in the GES library. The book features all color images, hardback cover, and is created with beautiful images of our GES family. Attached is an order form you can use for your own copy and to send a well wish or to publish your pooch.
Marie and Trey Shelton will host a wine and cheese tasting in their home on Saturday March 24. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Parents Capital Campaign. More information about the evening will be available soon in the school office.
