Director of Curriculum, Jan Deaner, lead a parent workshop on GES' new word study program. This school wide effort teaches spelling, vocabulary, and expression in a creative fashion. Mrs. Deaner was assisted in the presentation by GES' reading specialist, Gretchen Graves, Prekindergarten teacher, Mariah Miller, and 7/8 classroom teacher Birch Graves. Next up in February will be a parent workshop on a standards based report card.
